It is important that you always check into your police record to make sure that there are no outstanding warrants on you because if you do they can arrest you on the spot.  It is better to handle this matter on your own time, when you are not in a situation where you have been pulled over and can be arrested.  Your best option is to search online and see if there is an old ticket that is in warrant. If so then you can call the courts and take care of this ticket before you get stopped for something else.
